An ice cream van is now more about fine dining than Flake 99s after being revamped by the owners of a Norwich restaurant.

Hannah Springham and chef Andrew Jones run Farmyard bistro in St Benedicts Street, which holds three coveted AA rosettes and features in The Michelin Guide 2023.

In response to the pandemic, the couple set up Farmyard Frozen as a new arm of the business in 2020, which ships its restaurant-quality food across the UK through its website.

Ms Springham said: "Our van will be used for local farmers markets and food-related events as well as for north Norfolk beach crawls and sampling with customers at our favourite stockists.

"We use the van to sell desserts for people to eat on the spot, as well as selling our best-sellers for people to take home and cook up."

Upcoming events include The East Anglian Game and Country Fair on April 22 to  23 and Royal Norfolk Show on June 28 to 29.
