A city centre food hall has lodged plans to create an outdoor dining area with hopes it could be up and running by the summer months.
Yalm, situated in the Royal Arcade, has applied to Norwich City Council to create a courtyard with a covered canopy on the White Lion Street side of the historic shopping mall.
A new bar area on the ground floor adjoining the courtyard is also included as part of the developments for the popular foodie destination.
Operations manager Dan Searle said: "We are hoping to create an outdoor space so people can dine in the sunshine as they would inside.
"It will be an extension of what we are already doing and if approved, we hope to have it up and running by June/July."

The team is gearing up for its first summer season having opened in November last year following a significant redevelopment of the former Jamie's Italian site.
Mr Searle added: "Everything has been going really well for us so far this year and we are looking forward to a busy spring."
