City pubs have reported "better than expected" trade in the run up to Easter despite the pressures of increasing bills and rates.
Increasing pressure on independent businesses has seen venues such as Frank's Bar and the York close, but it appears fortunes are starting to change - with the Edith Cavell in Tombland set to reopen.
Jessie Dodd, who co-owns the Rosebery in NR3, said: "It's been really busy, especially this week.
"The weather has been lovely and hopefully it will be even better at the weekend as we've got lots of outdoor space for people across the three pubs.

"The Roseberry has been especially busy all week. We're looking forward to a busy bank holiday now."
Aidan Mahon, owner of Irish bars Pogue Mahon's, said pubs have to offer more in order to thrive.
"We're very lucky, it's been very busy," said Mr Mahon.
"The Six Nations rugby, which obviously Ireland won, and St Patrick's Day were both fantastic for us.
"But you can't just be a pub, you have to give something back, a reason to come in.
"We have live music five nights a week and a comedy club, which are all free entry."

Emily Bridges, co-owner of Norwich's smallest pub, the Malt and Mardle, said the boozer saw its busiest month ever last month despite uncertainty over how it would go in a cost of living crisis.
She said: "It's been really good, especially over the last two months.
"Business has been really positive, we weren't too sure what to expect, but we've been pleasantly surprised.
"We just want to thank everyone who has come out to support us."
Ms Bridges says events aimed at beer lovers have been a big winner for the Magdalen Street micro-pub, which has two more coming up.
Editor's note: This article previously stated Aidan Mahon also owned the Butcher Bhoy but this is not the case. Mr Mahon is no longer involved with that bar and we apologise for the error.
