The day a well-used budget supermarket will be closing has been revealed.
News of the Drayton Road Lidl's closure first emerged after staff at the Mile Cross supermarket were informed their store would be closing in a meeting on February 26.
The decision, Lidl say, is due to the building's condition and that it is "not fit for purpose".
The store is one of Lidl's oldest in Britain, opening in 1995 - just a year after the German brand opened its first 10 British stores.
Almost three decades later, it has more than 800 British stores, with plans to have 1,100 open by 2025.
The Drayton Road store will close on April 30, a Lidl spokesman confirmed.
Colleagues are being redeployed to other stores in the area.
The nearest Lidl stores are in Aylsham Road, also in Mile Cross, Blue Boar Lane in Sprowston, Fir Covert Road in Taverham and Poppy Way off the NDR at Postwick.
The Drayton Road area also has Asda and Aldi supermarkets within a mile.
It is understood there have been discussions about building a new Lidl store near the city boundary.
