As the nights draw out and the days get sunnier, now is a great time to start looking at campsites to visit.
Here are seven camping spots to try in Norfolk - from pitching a tent to rolling up in a motorhome, or living the life of luxury in a glamping setting.
1. Whitlingham Broad Campsite
Where: Whitlingham Broad, Norwich, NR14 8TR
Just 2.5 miles away from the city centre, this vast site stretches over 80 acres of land at Whitlingham Country Park.
Visitors can choose from a variety of accommodation options including simple camping pitches, bell tents, shepherd hurts, a yurt, a converted goods wagon and kooky woodland dens.
Additional facilities include large family-friendly washrooms with showers and toilets, an outside washing-up area, a play area and a shop selling all the essentials you could need.
For those who enjoy more home comforts, glamping woodland dens are also available.
2. Clippesby Hall
Where: Hall Road, Clippesby, Great Yarmouth, NR29 3BL
Located near Great Yarmouth, Clippesby Hall is a family-owned camping and touring site that covers 34 acres of woodland.
It has eight distinctive areas, ranging from tucked away spaces to large open-perimeter pitches and shepherd huts.

It won Camping, Glamping and Holiday Park of the Year at the 2023 Tourism Awards and the judges described Clippesby Hall as “a gem of a find in the Norfolk countryside”.
3. Hunstanton Camping Glamping
Where: 72d South Beach Road, Heacham, King's Lynn, PE31 7BB
With local shops five minutes down the road and the beach at Heacham just a three-minute walk away, this campsite is a perfect coastal destination.
There are pitches for tents, campervans, caravans, and motorhomes as well as a few pre-pitched glamping bell tents and glamping shepherd huts.
4. Deer's Glade Caravan and Camping Park
Where: White Post Road, Norwich, NR11 7HN
The site is a David Bellamy Conservation Gold Award winner.
This is a quiet, dog-friendly, family-run caravan park and campsite set in a woodland clearing in north Norfolk
It caters for touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, and offers pods, bell tents and shepherd huts.
5. Walnut Tree Meadow Camping
Where: Barnards Farm, Barnham Broom Road, Wymondham, NR18 0RR
Visitors can bring their own tent or hire a bell tent to camp in this fully fenced meadow under the gaze of a walnut tree.
The site is available for caravans, campervans and motorhomes too.
Pygmy goats and sheep will be your neighbours and access to all the facilities at the neighbouring Centre Paws.
There are showers, a washing up area and an indoor WC as well as two flushing toilets on the campsite itself.
6. Waxham Sands Holiday Park
Where: Warren Farm, Waxham, NR29 4EJ
Waxham Sands Holiday Park offers a range of spacious, grassy touring and camping pitches and features a Wi-Fi hotspot and park shop.
With direct access to the beach, visitors can stroll over the sand dunes of Horsey Gap and greet the seals.
The dog-friendly park has pop-up food vans in the summer, a new children’s play area and a communal safari dining tent with games.
7. High Sand Creek Campsite
Where: Green Way, Wells-next-the-Sea, NR23 1QF
Overlooking the coastal salt marshes, High Sand Creek is a family and dog-friendly campsite surrounded by woodlands, mud creeks and beaches.
Tents, trailer tents and motorhomes are all welcome but caravans are not permitted.
