A bus stop sign outside in Wensum Park in NR3 has been ripped out of the road and left on the path.

People have said that it isn’t the first time vandalism has happened and that they are sick of continued trouble in and around the park that is meant to be a space for everyone.

A dog walker in the area on Sunday afternoon said: "This isn't the first time the bus stop has come down.

“Whether it is being knocked or pushed or fallen it is the third time I have seen it laying on the floor in the past couple of years.

“It is not an ideal spot for a bus stop anyway, but it is bizarre that it has come down again"

Into the afternoon the bus stop had been moved from the path onto the grass, but with the hot weather many folk have been parking on the grass once the parking bay is full.

So this provided a hazard for those cars.

No one is sure who is the culprit for the anti-social behaviour this time, but people who visit, use and live in the area are getting tired of it.

Gary Champion, Green Party councillor for Sewell Ward, said: “The repeated vandalism to bus stop signs on Drayton Road is frustrating for people living in the community, particularly as the bus stop opposite Fenn Crescent was only recently fixed and now this one outside Wensum Park needs fixing as well.

A Norfolk County Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of an issue with a bus stop on Drayton Road and our team will rectify the issue as soon as possible.
