Escaping dungeons or slaying dragons could be the focus of team-building days for city companies, thanks to some self-proclaimed nerds.
The board game Dungeons and Dragons is enjoying a renaissance due to its role in hit Netflix show Stranger Things, spawning the recent release of a film starring Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez.
That has seen a Norwich couple spot their opportunity and they have been able to use their tabletop role-playing expertise to launch a business.

Fable Events is directed by Joshua Gould, 27, and Alisha Hart, 30, both professional actors with a year of experience in this type of gaming.
Alisha, from NR3, said: “We love playing Dungeons and Dragons and want to give more people the opportunity to love it too.”
The pair started playing the adventure-based game to spend time with their friends where they could go on epic journeys and create characters from the kitchen table.

She continued: “However, the more we played, the more it helped us learn about not just ourselves, but our friends as well.
“Having worked for years in events and team building, we knew this was the sort of event that wasn’t currently available but would be perfect for so many teams out there.
"It fosters creativity, problem-solving, empathy and communications skills, all whilst having a great time.”

They learned firsthand how tabletop roleplaying games can benefit relationships and ways of working together so now they invite Norwich folk to pick up the sword and work together to slay a dragon – among other storylines.
Alisha added: “Getting together with your team to go through one of our storylines is unique compared to predictable team-building activities currently offered.”
