A highly-rated takeaway has promised that "every detail has been given its due care and attention" after it was slapped with a one-star food hygiene rating.
Ahmed Spice, found in Back Lane, Wymondham has proven a hit with some customers - receiving an average rating of 4.5 from nearly 100 Google reviews.
But when the Food Standards Agency (FSA) carried out an inspection on March 8 it found the Indian takeaway needed to improve its practices across the board.

The report referenced improvement was needed with how food is handled, how clean the condition of the facilities are kept, as well as "major improvement" being needed to how food safety is managed.
A spokesman for Ahmed Spice said: "We always aim to provide food to a very high standard and our customers will always be a witness to this - from deliveries, storing, cooking and serving.
"Sometimes language barriers can be an issue to understand what is meant, but our staff will always demonstrate good practices.
"Cross-contamination is given a lot of attention as we understand allergies and the effects this can have."
The family-run takeaway has been serving Wymondham since it opened in 2003 and says it offers 'an authentic taste of India'.

The spokesman added: "We've been in Wymondham for a very long time, our customers know what we're about and that food served from us is with passion.
"Every detail is given its due care and attention.
"A re-visit from the food standards agency is imminent and our rating will be back to where it should be."
The Evening News asked South Norfolk Council for the full report but an authority spokesman said its policy is not to publish food hygiene reports.
Businesses do not have to display the rating at their premises but are encouraged to do so.
