A crêpe seller in the Norwich Lanes has announced new late-night opening hours with "bougie options" on the menu.

Christophe's Crêpes celebrated its busiest Pancake Day ever this year, but believing that "pancakes are for life, not just for Shrove Tuesday", the Pottergate eatery will be opening its kitchen later into the evenings to meet demand.

Opening on Friday and Saturday nights, Christophe's Crêpes, which has served Norwich for 12 years, hopes to open on more nights in the future.

Owner Chris Smith, 41, said: "It is a busy area in the evenings and we often get customers coming in as we are about to close.

"What we do suits the evenings and we are hoping people will come to us after a meal for dessert.

"We are really settled in the area now. There is great comradery with the neighbours and such a good little community we are so glad to be part of."

There will be special evening offers of "bougie, classy options", as well as the popular crêpe cakes which always fly off the shelves.

The evening opening times have not yet been decided as the eatery wants to listen to customer desires.
