People can now opt for courtesy bikes as they head to a luxury campsite.  

Guests travelling to Hengrave Meadow Glamping in Swannington will no longer need to take heavy and large bikes as the destination has introduced a number of courtesy bikes for those choosing to stay there.

The idea behind the bikes is that it will be more environmentally friendly and will enable easier travel for the shorter distances to surrounding areas such as Reepham.  

A spokesman for the site said: “You are so much more closer to nature while on a bike.  

“Guests can make up their own routes or use suggested route maps supplied.”

The glamping site is now open for its third season – open from May to September it has three luxury furnished bell tents.  

Each one has a private bathroom and camp kitchen – all with a two-acre meadow, perfect for exploring as the city is awash with spring and summer flowers and wildlife.
