A family has been left searching for answers after their pet ducks were stolen from their back garden.

The ducks, called Quackers and Psyduck, had been living at the end of Elyssia Rowley's garden in the NR3 area of Norwich for two years when she suddenly noticed that they were missing.

She said: "They've been living in their own enclosure at the back of my garden which was far away from the fences for two years undisturbed.

"For them to suddenly be snatched has come as such a surprise especially as it's not common knowledge that we even owned ducks."

Police are investigating the incident after receiving a report of the theft in Angel Road on Wednesday, April 25, between 2am and 2pm.

Ms Rowley added: "Two years ago we rescued Quackers the white duck who was injured and covered in thick mud out in the countryside. We then took him back to clean him up as his head had been cut.

"Quackers now has very distinct scarring on his head from when we found him."
