A new salon promising a luxurious and welcoming experience for all has opened its doors to customers following a £44,000 refurbishment.
The owners of Brick Hairdressing in Magdalen Street have renovated the 16th-century property from top to bottom, taking 11 weeks to complete it.
Lauren Barratt, who owns Stone Hairdressing in Wensum Street, held its official opening on Tuesday (May 2) and will run the business along with her husband Alex.
She said: "We are really excited to be open after 11 weeks of lots of work getting the place ready.
"It was great to share a glass of champagne with everyone to celebrate.
"We have created a luxury space with high-end decor but it still feels cosy and relaxed and we want everyone to feel welcome."

The new business will expand on the treatments on offer at Stone, extending services to include colouring treatments, specialist colour work and also men's hair.
From a men's cut and finish for £35 to a balayage for £135, there is a lot to choose from.
Much of the renovations were carried out by themselves with the help of family.

Mrs Barratt, who has more than 23 years of experience in the industry, added: "We haven't had a day off since we started which was tough but the end result is just beautiful.
"We brought back and accented lots of the original features, such as the period fireplaces, giving it all the care and love it needed.
"It was a real family affair and we had lots of help from Alex's dad and my step-dad who is a carpenter.
"Everything looks gorgeous and we have a great range of luxury products as well which is fantastic."
The salon is open Tuesday from 10am to 6pm, Wednesday to Friday between 10am and 7.30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.
