Controversial plans to put up a 5G mast in Norwich's NR2 area have been delayed after concerns were raised over visibility for road users.
An application to erect the mast in Jessopp Road has sparked neighbourly rows in the street between those who live in an internet blackspot and support the mast and those who are against it.
But a decision on the plans, which were submitted to Norwich City Council in March, has been delayed after the county council's highways team raised concerns over visibility on access roads connected to Jessopp Road.
The highways department also said councillors had asked about planting two street trees in the planned location of the mast and said those considering the application would have to weigh up which was more important.
It asked Clarke Telecom, which is planning the mast, to reassess visibility splays from nearby junctions and see if the pole could be moved to reduce the impact.

The highways department said it did not wish to object to the plans despite concerns.
Clarke Telecom submitted a revised plan for the mast last week.
Those living in the area have been bickering on community social media groups and even shouting at each other in the street over the plans and incidents have seen one of the area's city councillors to ask them to calm down.
Arguments came after one man who was "fed up" with having no phone signal in his home started his own Yes to 5G campaign.
The original application has now seen 175 public comments with many supporting the mast due to a lack of signal in the area, however, there are also a large number of objections.
Objections range from comparing the mast to "Daleks trundling through the streets of Norwich" to complaints describing it as "unsightly" and "out of character" for the area.
It is not known how long a decision on the plans will be delayed.
