A Norwich woman is launching a 'cat lounge' with drinks and cakes, where people can enjoy some feline companionship in a comfortable setting.
Sarah Price, 49, said: "This is a community-minded venture. Our main goal is to connect humans and cats and use them to improve each other's wellbeing."
The cafe will be on Dereham Road at the old Olive's Pizzeria site. The new space will have a huge central 'cat tree' made by Woodside Cat Trees, a Norwich company that makes bespoke, hand-made cat trees from real tree branches, finished off with faux fur.
There will be a six-foot tree inside the cat lounge, with guests able to watch the cats play and climb above their heads.

Guests are invited to play, take selfies, nap or read a book with the cats. Visitors can also bring their own sandwiches - as long as they don't feed any to the cats.
The cat lounge will also double up as an art gallery, with cat-inspired artworks and artists encouraged to get in touch to showcase their work.
Alongside the 'cat lounge sessions' the venue will hold workshops including a cat life-drawing class and cat yoga classes.
Cat sessions will cost £12 with the first drink included - teas and coffees and a selection of soft drinks will be on offer. They also will serve the occasional alcoholic beverage.
The cafe is opening in July on Dereham Road and opening hours will be 10am until 9pm, with three 'cat lounge' sessions available for booking each day.
