A man feared for his dog's life after it was viciously attacked on his front doorstep.
Szymon Szczepański, 35, had just left his flat, in Warrenwood Court in Norwich, with his one-year-old black labrador cross called Oscar when the attack happened.
"I came out from my flat and walked around the corner onto Bowers Avenues and saw this dog walking without a lead, followed by its owners," he said.
"I tried to go back home but the next second it had grabbed my dog's throat.
"I was trying to separate them as were its owners and my neighbour had come out to try and help - I thought it was going to kill Oscar."
The young lab received injuries to his throat and ear during the incident at 5pm on Tuesday, May 16.
He required several stitches, costing more than £400 in vets bills.

"He is so terrified," Mr Szczepański said. "We took him for a short walk on Wednesday but he is so scared to go outside - I hope he will slowly get back to normal."
Following the attack, the owners of the dog - a Staffordshire bull terrier - reached out to Mr Szczepański to apologise.
He added: "The woman who owns him apologized a lot and she was also terrified by it.
"I accepted the apology and asked her to cover the vet costs."
Despite the attack, Mr Szczepański said Oscar is "healing very well".
