The couple behind two neighbouring businesses in Norwich is shaking things up ahead of summer with new menus and takeaway items.

Husband-and-wife team Jaime and Stephanie Garbutt opened dessert spot Figbar in 2016 in St John Maddermarket and its savoury sister Salt in 2019.

At Figbar, there are some new plated desserts and soft-serve ice cream is back for the summer.

The pair has also launched cakes in a can that are ready to eat and ideal for gifts.

Next door at Salt, they have introduced a new breakfast menu, which is available from 9.30am to 12noon on Fridays and Saturdays.

Another big change is that their bagels are now available to buy to take home either individually or in packs of four after customer requests.

Mrs Garbutt said: "I grew up in New Jersey and learned to make bagels from my Jewish grandmother - it is such a nice recipe and it is a taste of home for me.

"People are also really loving the new breakfast menu and we are getting busier."
