An eagerly-awaited cat cafe is just a few months from welcoming its first guests.
The Cat House, which is set to open in Dereham Road this summer, has received a lot of interest from city cat lovers with many excited to spend time with the moggies.

Before cementing her idea, the owner visited some 19 different cat cafes in the UK and in doing this she was able to work out what she needed.
Her biggest issue was the felines being stuck inside.
With funding, owner Sarah Price, 49, will build an outdoor area as part of the business so that the cats can access fresh air and sunlight.
She said: “We are hoping to secure £5k to build an outdoor play space for the cats.
“It will be safe and give them more fresh air and freedom – full of climbing frames, seats, catnip and cat grass – it will be a really interactive space.”

The space is also set to have tables and chairs so that customers can sit with the cats outside.
Sarah said: “Some of them have had really bad starts in life, and some may be disabled in a way which means they can’t go outdoors so we want to ensure we can give them a wonderful home with lots of fresh air.”

The cafe will offer specialist cat-themed workshops and classes including art, writing, book club, yoga, talks and so much more.
There will also be children's cat care classes. Completing this course will allow children access to the cafe from age eight rather than age 11.
Sarah added: “Children can be noisy and run around, and I knew I did not want that.
“So we will introduce a scheme where children can earn a certificate in cat care.”
Bookings for the cafe and classes are set to open two weeks before the grand opening.
