According to wedding planning experts Hitched the average price of a wedding dress in the UK is £1,350 so popping into Scope could save local brides a significant amount for their big day.
And for those not planning on a white dress for their nuptials, coloured dresses start at £30.
Scope’s research shows that the pandemic and the cost of living crisis have had a big impact on people’s spending power and finds a big increase in the number of brides, grooms and wedding guests open to buying their outfit from charity shops.

Philippa Hindes, manager of the Scope shop in Anglia Square, said: “Our customers absolutely love our Asos ranges.
“As soon as we put out these donations, they fly out of our shop so if you’re looking for your wedding dress, I would encourage you to give us a call or drop into our shop in Anglia Square to see if there’s something to suit your style and size.
“Scope estimates the average bag of donations to their charity shops is worth £20.
"Each call to Scope’s free helpline costs £8, so one bag can fund two calls for disabled people to receive expert advice and vital emotional support.”
Asos offers hundreds of bridal gowns online to its customers, ranging in price up to £395.
Scope is a disability charity which campaigns for disabled rights and provides direct services.
