A man has died in a flat fire on the outskirts of Norwich.

The tragedy happened at a property in Tracey Road in Thorpe St Andrew at 7.57am on Sunday (June 11).

Fire crews from Sprowston, Carrow and Earlham attended the scene and used hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.

Police and East of England Ambulance Service were called half an hour later.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A Norfolk Police spokeswoman said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and our enquiries are currently ongoing."
