The director of an Italian restaurant in the Norwich Lanes has announced its closure with a heavy heart.
Al Dente was launched in St Giles Street five years ago by Adriano Turco and it served a range of authentic Italian dishes, with a build-your-own pasta bar too.
Its immediate closure was announced on Monday afternoon (June 12) on the Al Dente social media pages.
It said: "Thank you Norwich - the time has come to say goodbye.

"We’ve had five fantastic years, been through the highs, the lows and the challenges that the last few years have thrown at us.
"Thanks to all our customers and supporters, thanks to all the independent businesses that have worked with us, thanks to all the talented people that have worked with us over the years, thanks to our neighbours that have welcomed us on St Giles with open arms - we will genuinely miss you all.
Watch this space for our team’s next project - ciao for now."
