The full programme for the Lord Mayor’s Weekend has been announced - but there is one notable omission.
From July 7 to 9, the city's traditional summer spectacular will fill the streets with music, performances and activities, as well as one of the oldest mayoral processions in the country.
On Friday, July 7 there will be a free workshop in Chapelfield Gardens where families can make their own musical instruments. In the evening, Mysabar will be in the gardens, hosting music from Marvel DJs and Leon & Gav Play Records.
On Saturday, the procession will pass through the city, with the theme of Sights of the City, leaving Surrey Street at 3pm.
Local organisations, community groups and businesses on floats, alongside acrobats, samba dancers and tumblers will wind through Norwich.
The always popular pirate ship will not be returning to the parade though.
The Sounds of the City stage will open in Chapelfield Gardens from midday as Wild Paths presents a festival line-up.
On the Community Showcase stage there will be a collaboration with The Garage and Young Norfolk Arts Trust featuring contemporary dance, circus, choirs and musicians.

Tastes of the City in Chapelfield Gardens will be offering a range of Norwich’s finest food trucks, featuring Louisiana deep-filled baguettes, Asian-style Chicken, Bao Buns, Oysters and more.
