Norwich City fans may be enjoying a summer break after a disappointing season for the men's team but they can support a Canaries team in a national final this weekend.

City's cerebral palsy team are hoping to bring home the club's second trophy of the season when they head to the training base of England's national teams, St George's Park.

They will take on North East and Yorkshire, who have won three of the last four competitions, in the cerebral palsy final at the FA Disability Cup at 10.30am on Sunday (June 25), with tickets already sold out.

The team qualified for the tournament after an impressive campaign which saw them win the National League.

However, Canaries fans will be able to watch as BT Sport will be showing the game live, with highlights to also feature on Channel Four at 10am on Saturday, July 1.

It will be City's first appearance in a disability cup final and they will be hoping to emulate the club's women in winning a trophy this season.

Manager Darren Hunter said he was feeling positive ahead of the game, urging his players to "keep their feet on the ground" amid the excitement of playing on live TV.

He said: "I'm feeling pretty positive, our results have been a mixed bag against them so it'll be a close one.

"The team was only put together a couple of years ago so it's great progress.

"We've been trying to avoid the TV element and remain level headed, we need to concentrate on the football.

"I've told them to record it and watch it back later."

Along with the Canaries' cerebral palsy team, other clubs will be competing in partially sighted, amputee, blind, powerchair and deaf competitions across the weekend.
