Forecasters predict some parts of Norfolk could see more than 30mm of rain fall in less than an hour.
The yellow weather warning extends up to Aylsham in north Norfolk and covers areas including Thetford, Watton, Diss and Norwich.
The storms will hit western areas first at about 9am before travelling north across the region.
It follows Sunday's thunderstorms which caused flash flooding in King's Lynn and Hunstanton.
