A hedgehog that was almost killed by a group of teenagers has now been released after recovering at a rescue centre.
A couple from Old Catton, who do not wish to be named, caught the teens stamping and kicking the hedgehog in Austin Way.
Police have confirmed that the incident took place at 10.10pm on Tuesday, May 30.

The hedgehog was cared for by Marian Grimes, owner of Hedgehog Haven in North Walsham, who took Jessica for an ultrasound after she started quickly gaining weight.
However, the scan came back negative and after Jessica's full recovery, she was released back into the wild on Sunday night (June 18) while a crowd of her rescuers watched on.

The woman who found her said: "We waited and watched patiently from the patio doors, there was some movement and snuffling and then finally at 10pm she made a run for it out the gate and into the hedge.
"I just hope the young girls who thought it was okay to do such an awful thing feel ashamed about what they did forever and don't attempt anything like that again".
