A man has been charged with arson after a blaze ripped through four terraced houses in Norwich.

Police were called to Hall Road, Norwich at 11.33pm on Monday, June 26, where the homes were found to be "well alight".

A man, aged in his 50s, was arrested in connection with the incident and taken to Wymondham police station for questioning.

Pip Long, 53, of Southwell Road, Norwich has been charged with arson and will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, June 28).

Multiple properties were evacuated, but no one was injured.

The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene, including fire and ambulance.
