From a colourful procession to the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre, here are some of the best things to do over the Lord Mayor's Weekend 2023.
The three-day event runs from Friday, July 7 until Sunday, July 9.
1. Catch the excitement of the Lord Mayor’s Procession
Bicycles, roller skates, rickshaws and pedal-powered floats will show off the Sights of the City and bring the carnival atmosphere on Saturday.
Expect to see spectacular displays from dancers, acrobats, bands and colourful walking groups, all moving off at 3pm from Surrey Street and winding their way via Castle Meadow to the Cathedral.

2. Chill in Chapelfield Gardens
Friday evening’s social Mysabar will host music from the best local DJs, food vendors will offer tasty treats and the carnival dress-up booth and weekend-long funfair will be in full swing.
Saturday’s schedule will see the best local talent performing on the Community Showcase Stage during the afternoon, in a collaboration between The Garage and Young Norfolk Arts Trust.
Family activities will include ‘make your own musical instrument’ workshops, plus there will be street food on offer from the Tastes of the City food producers.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe fans can race against their friends on Norwich Theatre Royal’s giant video screen in Theatre Street.
3. Listen to music and poetry
Wild Paths Festival will present headline acts on the Sounds of the City Stage in Chapelfield Gardens on Saturday evening, featuring Oscar Jerome, Nimbus Sextet and New Movement Ensemble.
Over at City Hall on the Voices of the City Stage, throughout the afternoon and evening, highlights include poetry from Luke Wright and collective TOAST and music from Voices of the City Allstars and the Invidia Choir.

4. Feel the beat
The amazing Beatbox Collective, who were 2015 world champions, will be performing on the Voices of the City Stage at City Hall on Saturday.
They have been working with youngsters from Norwich charities Nelson's Journey, the Benjamin Foundation, the Henderson Project, Hewett Academy and Trowse Primary School.

5. Dip into the Duck Race and enjoy the Lanes Summer Fayre on Sunday
Pay £2 to enter a duck into the charity Duck Race and head for Lady Julian Bridge at Riverside where the race starts at 2pm.
Head to the Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre, which runs from 11am to 5pm, where there will be live music, pop-up markets, DJ sets, street food courts, performances and workshops.
