A city family were forced to spend around £200 and travel more than 600 miles after their luggage was delayed for three days.
Bachir Tennah, 44, travelled to visit his parents in Algeria from Heathrow Airport - using British Airways - on June 16 along with his four-year-old son and 47-year-old wife.
However, upon arriving at Algiers International Airport the Bowthorpe family soon realised half their luggage hadn't arrived with them.

Mr Tennah, who works as a chemical operator at Briar Chemicals, said: "We had to buy clothes until the rest of our luggage arrived.
"There were also chocolate and sweets I'd bought my parents which didn't arrive - so I had to replace them as well.
"All in all, it cost around £200 for everything.
"Even when the rest of our luggage did arrive, I had to take a 620-mile round trip, from my parents' house to the airport to collect it.
"I also lost a day seeing my parents, which was the whole reason for going."
A British Airways spokesman said: "We always work hard to reunite our customers with their delayed baggage as quickly as possible and apologise for any inconvenience caused."
This isn't Mr Tennah's only bad experience with British Airways, having forked out nearly £150 for extra luggage on their flight last year, only to be told they had to leave it behind when they got to the airport.

After taking another chance on the airline, Mr Tennah will be looking elsewhere on the family's next flight, adding: "It seems to happen every single flight.
"They don't seem to learn their lesson and it makes things really stressful, especially when travelling with kids.
"There was no apology when I arrived to collect the luggage - it feels like we've just been ignored - it's so sad to see such a company do things like this."
