Disorder, drug taking and anti-social behaviour will be the focus for Norwich police for the next three months, it has been revealed.
A spate of incidents in Gas Hill, King Street and the city centre has prompted officers to crack down on crime in the area, including alcohol-related anti-social behaviour.
Last week police received three calls about violence, a report of suspicious circumstances in the city centre and made arrests for shop theft in Theatre Street, burglary and stalking.
Extra patrols have already begun in Gas Hill, with foot patrols in the surrounding areas of Cotman Fields and William White Place.

As a result of the patrols, two people were given Community Protection Warnings for drunk and disorderly behaviour.
The new focus for Norwich cops follows a Snap (Safer Neighbourhood Action Panel) meeting on June 21 where city folk and councillors discussed their concerns with officers.
Those at the meeting agreed to focus on King Street and the city centre, while voters in an online poll told officers to focus on Gas Hill.
It comes as the city faces mounting anti-social behaviour issues, with city and county councillors currently fighting an ongoing battle against boy racers and a number of drug and anti-social behaviour issues in Heigham Street in the NR2 area.
The street has seen armed robberies and men making threats with knives since the start of 2023 and last Thursday police were called to a number of reports of drug dealing and use as well as anti-social behaviour.
People living in a number of homes in the street have caused anti-social behaviour issues while others had been involved in illegal cannabis use and possession.
Officers say they visited homes responsible for the nuisance behaviour which was affecting a number of neighbouring houses and issued warning notices to numerous properties over drugs issues.
