A city woman has paid tribute to her "humorous and brave" dad who walked her down the aisle just days before he died of a rare cancer.
Alan Miller died aged 69 with Sarcoma Cancer at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on June 13 but had fulfilled a lifelong wish of walking his daughter down the aisle - rising from his wheelchair for the final few steps.
Jessica had been planning to have her wedding in Portugal, but when it became clear her father was dying she and her partner James decided to host their wedding at the N&N's hospital chapel on June 7.
Her wedding dress was altered at short notice and Norfolk cancer charity Big C made arrangements for flowers, photographers and food with the reception held at the charity's base at the N&N.
Jessica, from Thorpe St Andrew, said: "Dad always wanted to walk me down the aisle so we made sure he got to by doing it in the hospital chapel.
"When it happened, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

"Afterwards dad was even feeling well enough to come to the Big C with us to have pictures done so we've got some great memories, even if they are bittersweet.
"We can't thank the Big C enough, they went around all the local shops to get food for the ceremony and provided so much."
She said her dad loved computers, amassing nine in his North Walsham home, as well as cycling and playing guitar.

Mrs Miller added: "Dad was a driving instructor and then made the switch to working in the IT team of Gresham's School before then going back into teaching people to drive.
"He kept his humour the whole time, he was so brave, despite knowing what was happening.
"He was quite content with his life.

"We've got some great memories. Although it can be difficult still, it's bittersweet."
Following Alan's death, Jessica's brother Darren has decided to walk from Ipswich to Norwich with his brother Adam to raise money for Big C.
