A raft of roadworks and closures are planned across the city this week, with some set to cause major disruption and delays.
Here are some of the major roadworks to be aware of in Norwich this week.
1. Riverside
The replacement of the traffic lights at the busy junction of Koblenz Avenue with Canary Way is due to start on Tuesday (July 18) for two weeks.
Work at the junction of Carrow Road with Canary Way started on July 15 and is expected to also take two weeks.
Multi-way temporary traffic lights are currently in place and will be manually controlled during peak periods.
2. Boundary junction
For the replacement of all the traffic lights and resurfacing in Aylsham Road, Cromer Road and Reepham Road, the roads will be closed in phases between July 10 to August 31.
The works, at the Boundary junction where Mile Cross meets Hellesdon, are being carried out at night to reduce the impact on drivers and businesses.
Signed diversion routes will be in place throughout.
3. Newmarket Road
Temporary traffic lights are in place in Newmarket Road due to gas main work in Town Close Road.
The works are expected to continue until July 20.
4. Ketts Hill
Roadworks are under way in Ketts Hill from its junction with Gurney Road to improve safety at the roundabout.
The work, running until August 11, also affects Gurney Road from its junction with Heathgate and its junction with Ketts Hill roundabout.
Signs indicate when the roads are closed during the 40 days of roadworks.
Alternative routes are via Mousehold Lane, Sprowston Road Magdalen Road, Bull Close Road, Charlton Road and Barrack Street.
