More than 200 vehicles were involved in a car meet which saw 87 people handed warning letters. 

On the weekend of July 8 and July 9, vehicles travelled through Norwich, Attleborough, Taverham, Long Stratton and Thetford, where members of the public reported incidents of speeding, noise disturbances and dangerous overtaking. 

A man, aged in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

He was taken to Wymondham police station for questioning and later released on bail until October 3.

One vehicle was seized and eight warnings were issued for using a vehicle in an anti-social manner.

There were 87 warning letters sent to drivers in total.

Warning letters can be followed by a Community Protection Notice which if breached can lead to prosecution.

Further offences can then lead to Community Behaviour Orders or injunctions and possible arrest.

Various tactics are currently being used in order to tackle anti-social behaviour that can occur at car meets and Norfolk Constabulary is encouraging anyone who experiences local anti-social behaviour to report it.
