A former nurse from Norwich was forced to pull out seven of her own teeth after not being able to find an NHS dentist.
Good Morning Britain spoke to the woman, called Janice, as part of a segment on Norfolk topping the dentistry desert list.
A report by the Association of Dental Groups last year said that in some parts of the county there is "almost no chance" of being treated by an NHS dentist.
And despite already pulling out seven teeth, Janice now has two more which are loose.

She said: "I've now only got three teeth on the top and one of them is loose, and one of my bottom teeth is loose.
"I don't know where to turn. I've rung countless dentists. I'm on one waiting list for a dentist for three years.
"I can't afford to go private. It would be more than £2,500 to have the rest of my teeth out and get dentures."
The Association of Dental Groups report also stated that in Norfolk there were only 38 dentists per 100,000 people and that just 36pc of adults had seen a dentist in the last two years.
