A Norwich pub is making a bid to become a hive of the city's event scene with multiple festivals planned this year.

The Brickmakers in Sprowston Road, run by Claire Brooks, has been mixing things up by introducing new events but also keeping traditional festivals that have been held at the local for years.

One of those is Brickfest, where three stages will host 26 performers on Sunday, August 27.

There will also be street food, stalls, games and a raffle to entertain guests between music sets.

Ms Brooks said: "Having run the Walnut Tree Shades for 13 years I never really had the space to bring big events to life.

"I've been dreaming of holding festivals and now I've got the bigger venue, I have the location, facilities and a great community around us."

The pub will also host a huge motorbike show on Saturday, September 16, with a vehicle display, music and stalls.

Ms Brooks is passionate about incorporating the wider community and local charities, with the motorbike show raising money for NABD - the National Association of Bikers with a Disability.
