A dog diagnosed with cancer earlier this year has been SAVED following fundraising efforts to help cover her vital treatment.
The owners of four-year-old Winifred, Haritha and David Richardson, from Cringleford, were horrified after being told her chemotherapy could cost in excess of £5,000.
With this figure continuing to rise, the pair decided to set up a GoFundMe - eventually raising a whopping £7,000 and enough to cure their "little girl".
"It was quite the journey," said Haritha.
"Winnie didn’t tolerate chemo very well, so it kept getting postponed.
"We were told if this didn't cure it then there was no other option for her. This was so painful to hear.

"But after a series of checks, we were told on July 31 that all her tests were normal.
"Our Winnie had been cured."
A mixed-breed dog from Romania, Winifred spent the majority of her life on the streets before being matched with the Richardsons by a rescue centre in March 2023.
But their excitement soon turned to horror when they discovered large lumps around her neck.
After numerous tests, Winnie was found to have round cell cancer that had spread to her lymph nodes - with insurance issues stemming from it being a pre-existing condition.
"We cannot thank everyone enough," Haritha continued.
"We couldn't have done it without the support of our friends through these hard times.
"Also a huge thank you to the many local businesses that donated items to our fundraising auction.
"We are so grateful."
Winnie, who is now working with a behaviourist, is slowly regaining her confidence and playing without having to be in isolation.

"She surprises me every day with her resilience," concluded Haritha.
"She is such a special girl and we love her so dearly.
"We want to give her all that she deserves and hope to one day repay the kindness we received to someone else in need."
