A new burrito business in the city has applied to serve alcohol when it opens.

Plan Burrito, which is due to open in Timberhil in the former home of the Re: Source shop, sent the application to Norwich City Council on Wednesday (August 16).

In the application the business states: "We would like to add a selection of alcohol to compliment our menu."

A confirmed opening date is still to be decided but the business hopes the alcohol licence is granted "as soon as possible".

Plan Burrito was started in Loughborough in 2015 by Steve Hopper, with the first franchise opening in London in early 2022.

A recent interview with Mr Hopper suggested new franchises in Norwich, Shrewsbury and Canterbury would open by the end of September.
