London's longest-running magic show is heading to the city this week, with a "very special night" looming for a popular local magician.
Olly Day has starred in the Christmas shows at Cromer Pier as well as a host of other performances, including the Summer Laughter Show at the Pavilion Theatre in Gorleston.
The West End Magic Show will be at the Maddermarket Theatre on Friday (August 25) with Olly performing alongside Wayne Trice and Magic Circle member Oliver Tabor.
Olly said: “I’ve lived in Norwich all my life and performed in every theatre throughout Norfolk but have never been on stage at the Maddermarket before.
"So to be alongside such great magicians from London is just such a thrill - it will be a very special night.”

The show is on tour and promises “illusion, mind-reading, comedy, glamour and sheer variety” alongside some head-scratching trickery.
A master of close-up magic skills, Olly continued: “Magic is in my DNA. I started when I was a child getting magic sets and a card trick I started to do when I was 15 is still in the act although it took years of practice to perfect.
“With every illusion and every trick we do we are creating a special moment in time for the audiences. Magic captures people’s imaginations, leaving them amazed and spellbound.
"My act is comedy-based and I get people up from the audience to have a laugh with them and make them the star of the show for a few minutes, something they’ll always remember."

Also performing is Oliver Tabor, a former European British magic champion and consultant for Hollywood film Now You See Me 2 and BBC series London Spy.
He also teams up with performer Butterfly to stage theatrical illusions as The Glamourists.
Friday's show starts at 7.30pm, with tickets starting from £13.
