People in Norfolk are set to endure a bank holiday weekend filled with downpours and thunderstorms. 

After days of sunshine and warm weather, the long weekend is set to be dominated by unsettled conditions. 

A spokesman for the Met Office said: "The set up for Norfolk's weekend weather is for a mix of sunshine and showers, with the more frequent showers expected on Saturday, where thunder outbreaks of rain could occur.

"Low pressure will continue to influence Norfolk’s weather on Sunday and into the bank holiday Monday, with a continued mixture of sunshine and showers."

Norwich will see highs of 21C on Saturday but nearer the coast temperatures will peak at 19C.

There are huge events across Norfolk over the weekend including Heritage Live at the Sandringham Estate with performances from Van Morrison, Robbie Williams and The Who. 

Other events happening in the county include the Aylsham Show, the Maui Waui Festival and All About Dogs.
