A cyclist has been left with serious injuries after a crash involving a bus in Norwich.
Police were called shortly before 8.30am today (September 13) following reports of concern for the safety and behaviour of a woman in Gladstone Street.
Officers attended and the woman, who was riding a bicycle, left Gladstone Street in the direction of Dereham Road where she was involved in a collision with a bus.
The woman in her 30s was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious injuries.
She remains in hospital but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Dereham Road was closed until 11.15am but has since reopened.
As a result of previous police contact, the matter has been referred to Norfolk Constabulary’s Professional Standards Department.
Enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are asking any witnesses to the collision or anybody with dash cam footage to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 64 of September 13.
