A sauce made by an award-winning Norwich chef has been named one of the best in the country.

Richard Bainbridge is the chef-patron of Benedicts restaurant in St Benedicts Street, which features in The Michelin Guide and holds three AA rosettes for culinary excellence.

Mr Bainbridge, who runs the business with his wife Katja, launched a condiments range at the start of 2021 in response to the Covid pandemic.

The R Bainbridge Beetroot Ketchup, which costs £4.20 for 270g, was selected by deputy food editor Hannah Evans, who said: "Hard to come by, so it feels like a treat when I find it. Sweet, tangy and good in a burger."

However, in Norfolk it is stocked in shops and delis across the county - from Jarrolds in Norwich to Drove Orchards in Thornham.
