A man and a woman were arrested in the city centre on suspicion of crimes relating to shoplifting and assault.
Police were called just after 8am on Friday morning (September 15) to reports of a man and woman shoplifting at a store in Haymarket, Norwich.
A woman in her 30s was arrested on St Stephens Street for theft.

A man, also in his 30s, was arrested on Red Lion Street for theft, grievous bodily harm and common assault.
They were both taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and remain in custody.
The GBH relates to a previous incident.
