A baking business in Norwich is changing ownership after starting out as a tiny patisserie 40 years ago.

Linzers Bakery, in the Sweet Briar Industrial Estate, has been run by couple Susan and Andrew Bell since 1984.

The pair originally started trading in London Street with three floors housing a bakery and patisserie, café and a huge kitchen.

They have now handed over the wholesale bakery business to Matt Harris, who owns Routledges Bakeries which has seven locations across the UK.

Andrew Bell said: "We are proud to have been baking for Norfolk for nearly 40 years after growing the business organically.

"Linzers has always been a family business and we would sincerely like to thank our wonderful team for their tireless service, in some cases spanning generations of the same family.

Linzer's Bakery makes a selection of cakes, pastries and baked bread that it supplies to businesses across Norfolk.
