Mexican fever is well and truly sweeping the city, as three restaurants serving its cuisine are opening soon in Norwich.
1. Taco Bell
Opening date: TBC
Plans have just been approved by Norwich City Council for fast food restaurant Taco Bell to open at the former home of Thomas Cook in London Street.
It will serve its famous array of tacos, quesadillas, nachos and burritos, with 28 covers inside.
It will be Norfolk's only branch of the American chain after the Great Yarmouth Taco Bell closed during the pandemic.

2. Plan Burrito
Opening date: September/October 2023
Plan Burrito is opening very soon at the top of Timber Hill in the former home of Re: Source general store.
It is a franchised business and it was first started in Loughborough in 2018 by Steve Hopper.
On offer, to takeaway or eat-in, will be burritos, tacos and nachos, which can be customised with your choice of filling and sauces, and churros.

3. Tortilla
Opening date: Autumn 2023
This popular chain serves California-style Mexican burritos and tacos and it is currently recruiting members of staff for a new Norwich branch, with an October start date on the job adverts.
The exact location is not yet known but it has been confirmed that it will not be in Chantry Place or the Castle Quarter.
