Plans have been revealed to replace a former beauty salon in the Lanes with a tattoo studio. 

True Love Tattoos is hoping to move from its current premises in Bridewell Alley to a larger site in St Gregorys Alley.

The building, just next to the popular Athena Games, has been vacant since the iBar beauty clinic closed down earlier this year.

Designs submitted to the city council show plans to establish a main studio area, reception, kitchenette and toilet on the ground floor - with a shop space and storage area on the lower ground floor. 

A spokeswoman for True Love Tattoos said the move was a "positive" one.

The news comes after New Leaf tattoo parlour announced plans to move from its current home in Upper King Street to 128 Magdalen Street in the former S&J Seafood fishmongers.

During its time in Upper King Street, the business has kept its location a secret from customers only revealing it once a booking has been made.

Boss Poppy Segger says she chose to move her business as it had outgrown its current home, with plans to take on more staff allowing her to extend her services.
