A 38-year-old woman has lost four stone in less than a year, following a hereditary diabetes scare.
Krystal Punt, from Catton, experienced gestational diabetes during pregnancy, but since going on her weight-loss program, she is no longer pre-diabetic.
The condition runs in Ms Punt's family, with her mother having type one diabetes and her father passing away at the age of 49.
Ms Punt attends the Old Catton Slimming World group. She said: "Group helps me so much because I enjoy coming every week.
"I find all the members inspirational because all journeys are different and I like to be there to share my ideas each week".

She feels her well-being has improved and says she is getting mentally stronger as she loses weight.
Slimming World chips are added to many meals, and the family still enjoy favourites such as burgers and spaghetti bolognese.
Ms Punt adds: "Exercise and Body Magic helps me in ways I didn't know it would, I started off Body Magic small and realistic, starting with aiming to do 2,500 steps a day, and every time I achieved it, it brought me happiness and determination to do more."
