A chippy near Norwich is planning an extension in order to open a Chinese takeaway.
Stoke Holy Cross Fish and Chips, in Mill Road, is planning to keep running its current business while offering Chinese favourites such as fried chicken balls and chop suey from the extension at the back of the building.
The business has submitted a planning application to Norwich City Council in order to install a new kitchen canopy and ducting for the new operation.

Its Chinese arm would see one new full-time member of staff employed, however its opening hours would remain the same as the fish and chip shop.

Work will not see the chip shop itself grow in size but will see its current set-up reorganised with the new canopy being installed on its east side.
Those wishing to comment on the plans have until October 25, with hopes a decision will be made by November 24.
