The father of an 11-year-old Coventry fan who was struck by a £1 coin thought to have been thrown by a Norwich City supporter has said he is "sickened" by what happened.
The incident occurred in the final moments of City's 1-1 away draw on Saturday, as the home fans celebrated an 88th-minute equaliser thanks to a Ben Gibson own goal.
The £1 coin hit the girl just above her right eye and required medical attention, with a Canaries fan ejected by stewards and police investigating the incident.

The girl's father, Martin, said: "My daughter remained sat down as we celebrated.
"My wife pulled my arm, I turned around and blood was running down my daughter’s face.

"In this day and age, I’m surprised something like this would happen - I’m sickened."
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating a public order offence after an 11-year-old girl received a cut to the head, after a coin was thrown into the home stand during the game."
The incident has left the 52-year-old Coventry season ticket holder debating whether to attend future games.
Speaking to the BBC, he added: "I'm rattled by it.
"I keep thinking about what if it happens again and I’m not sure I want to go to future games."
West Midlands police also confirmed four people were arrested after the game.
Among the four arrests, all of which are understood to be Norwich fans, is a 14-year-old boy - with reports of scuffles among Canaries fans emerging as tensions boiled over amid a downturn in form.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Two men, aged 52 and 33, and a 14-year-old boy were arrested for affray following disorder on a bus on Classic Drive, Coventry, while a 43-year-old man was arrested for a racially aggravated public order offence.
"They have all been bailed while investigations continue.
"We are also investigating two alleged assaults in the away end involving a fan and a steward."
Norwich City have declined to comment but a Coventry spokesman said: "We condemn the actions of any supporter whose actions bring harm to others."
A Millwall fan was banned from all matches for five years in May, having admitted hurling a 50p piece which struck a seven-year-old girl as Norwich fans celebrated scoring during a 2-0 win at Carrow Road in August 2022.
