The dawn of the millennium saw a new quiz show rise and it had the nation hooked.
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, hosted by Chris Tarrant, had a primetime slot on ITV and it made millionaires of its contestants.
The show made headlines when former British Army major Charles Ingram was accused of coughing his way to the jackpot and this is the focus of a new stage play.
QUIZ: The Coughing Major Millionaire Scandal heads to Norwich Theatre Royal between October 31 and November 4 2023.

Following a sell-out run at Chichester Festival Theatre, James Graham's smash-hit play transferred to London's West End with sensational reviews in 2018.
In 2020, millions tuned in to see the three-part ITV adaptation starring Michael Sheen, Matthew Macfadyen and Sian Clifford.
The play is set between Southwark Crown Court and the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? studio.
It tells both sides of the story, delving into the defence and prosecution of Charles Ingram (Lewis Reeves) and his wife Diana, played by Emmerdale actress Charley Webb.
Impressionist Rory Bremner stars as Chris Tarrant in the show.
As a mimic, he has provided impersonations of prime ministers and presidents - from Major, Blair, Cameron and Brown to Clinton, Bush and Trump.
He said: "I'm very excited about this - not just the challenge of playing Chris Tarrant in long form but bringing the scandal that caught the public's imagination to a live audience every night.
