A city woman has been left without her transport ‘lifeline’ after a bus driver smashed into the side of her car and continued on his journey.
Nicole Brown was visiting her mother in Fiddlewood Road last Friday, just as she does every week, but returned to find major damage on the driver's side of her Ford KA.
The crash was captured on CCTV but the 30-year-old is currently out of work and relies on her car, especially at this time of year due to asthma and Raynaud's.
She said: “I’ve had my car since 2015 and I rely on it every single day.

“It was parked on Fiddlewood Road because I was visiting my mum and she lives there, I park it in the same place every single week and nothing like this has happened.
“I didn’t realise my car had been hit until a couple of hours after and it made me so angry and upset.
"I can’t believe that the driver didn’t even stop, it made me feel sick seeing it dragged.”

Following the accident, Nicole's insurance provider has deemed the car as now being in an undrivable state.
She said: “I had loads of work done on the car last year and only got its MOT done at the end of September.”

Nicole said that when she parks on the road, traffic will wait behind her car until the road is completely clear: “I find it baffling that the bus driver tried to squeeze through at the same time as oncoming traffic.
“He has taken my lifeline and left me feeling isolated.”
A First Bus spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a road traffic collision took place on Friday, October 20 on Fiddlewood Road.
“Our driver stopped the vehicle in a safe place and reported the incident to the depot at the time. The matter is now in the hands of our insurance team."
