Plans to bring a former city nightclub back into use have been withdrawn.
The club looked set to take over the former Envy site at 20 Prince of Wales Road amid a time of change in Norwich's clubland.
Plans are already afoot to transform a long-standing barbers and a takeaway into housing and a former nightclub could soon become an African bar, while the old Prince of Wales pub has already reopened as Barcadia.
The nightclub had been hoping to open between 3pm and 11pm on Wednesday and Thursday, 3pm to 4am on Friday, midday to 4am on Saturday and midday to 11pm on Sunday.

The club would have employed five people and plans to install signage and replace the shopfront had already been approved.
No further details have yet been released regarding the decision to withdraw the application.
But in a note penned to the city council, the owner of the building said previous plans to open a bar had been curtailed by the Covid pandemic.
