A vegan fast food joint has announced the opening date of its new Castle Quarter restaurant.

Hank's Dirty Vegan is currently part of the Castle Social food court on the top floor of the shopping and leisure centre.

It is set to take over the former Cocina restaurant on the shopping centre's fourth floor, close to the Farmers Avenue entrance for the Vue cinema.

"We've had an amazing 12 months in Norwich and now it's time to build on this even more by opening this new welcoming space."

Mr Bligh said the premises has space for 80 diners and would allow the business - which also has branches in Ipswich, Cambridge, Colchester and Felixstowe - to continue its expansion.

The restaurant has applied for an alcohol licence to serve a range of beers and cocktails from the bar, with outlets at Castle Social unable to do so due to the central bar being the only place to serve drinks.
